I'm really happy to host here today,  one of my countryman, who wanted to share with us his 3d model of a modern living room, set in a typical rustic Italian house , restored highlighting in some parts, the original stone structure typical of the Valle d'Aosta . Very beautiful  coordination of the colors of the layout, that create an environment very fine.
The 3d model, is done in sketchup 2015 , but available also in sketchup 8 , complete with:
-  Vray interior Visopt - all textures - carpet  vray Vrmesh materials

sketchup texture news - works in progress !


Hello Guys ,
As you may have noticed, it is slowing down a little activity on the blog and on our Facebook page , because we are working hard to finish the section of the new website dedicated to the textures.

After three months, by working about 10 hours a day, I am only half the job. To upload them, you need to catalog them and index them and code them one by one, and it is an endless work because there are over 20,000 .

Many textures, have been redone with a higher resolution. So I think that, to accelerate the work, we'll have to load the material in in 2 different times, and In any case, we need at least 40 working days to complete the first part .
Then however we will have a very nice website and very practical to use.
I ask you to bring a little patience. Thanks for your time !

ThruPaint is an awesome Sketchup Plugin  that extends the native Sketchup Paint tool with some functions like painting across the boundaries of components and groups, control of the faces selection and face side, texturing with continuity and texturing edition.

Amazing free set of 50 sketchup file liquids shapes

Yesterday we shared on our Facebook page, an awesome set of 50 obj file liquids shapes was made to bring some final realism to your renderings, made by Waldemar Barkowski to Visuelle Kommunikation
Obviously obj files must be imported into SketchUp, using a plugin SimLab OBJ importer for Sketchup, downloadable to SketchUpcation.

Today we received a big gift, a result of the hard work of our friend Adam Muir Hails by MuirView Landscape & Design who sent us this beautiful message:

Hi Sketchup Texture  I spent the last hour working on converting the "Liquids" collection into a more usable form for Sketchup users.  I imported them into 3ds Max and then individually reduced the polycount with MooTools Polygon Cruncher.

There were a few that were not heavy and I didn't reduce, but the heavy ones I reduced them just enough to not degrade the detail.  I then welded all the verticies and removed the stray verts.

Then I centered and corrected the pivots and finally exported to .skp via the SimLab Max to Sketchup exporter, which exports to Sketchup 8  version.  They should be light enough to work with and use in higher frequency now.  I hope that is helpful to the community! A big thank you Adam for this excellent support!
Now in our working group, we are experimenting some  test, using these files. In a few days we will publish the most significant render works
